Tokyo Ghoul: Everything You Need To Know About Touka

Touka has become one of Tokyo Ghoul’s most well-known characters. All you need to hear about her is right here.

When Tokyo Ghoul was first published, it took the anime and manga world by storm. The plot was original to viewers and readers, and the characters were dark and intriguing. When it comes to the show, one of the main characters, Touka, is often discussed.

Touka is a ghoul who works as a waitress at the restaurant Anteiku when we first encounter her. She later rises to the role of manager, but only after the Owl Suppression Operation. After all, around her falls apart, she joins Goat, a group that helps her to move to the 24th ward. Here’s what you need to know about Touka in Tokyo Ghoul: Everything You Need To Know About Touka.

HER PAST

During their time at the 20th ward, Touka, her brother, and her father had to blend in with the rest of the humans for a long time. To accomplish this, her father, Arata, taught them how to behave like humans, even teaching them how to eat human food.

Her father was eventually apprehended by ghoul investigators, but Touka never gave up. They eventually ran away from home, and as they grew older, they continued to use their abilities until she found work at a coffee shop.

COMPLICATED SIBLING RELATIONSHIP

Touka makes it a point to protect her brother with her life because they are the last two members of their family. They, on the other hand, have very different perspectives on the environment and, in particular, humans. Ayato, her brother, despises humans for taking his family to ruin.

They were constantly together until he started to go off on his own, effectively making her anxiety. Their mutual conflicts caused them to collide often, but they still care deeply about each other. Despite their many disagreements and mistakes with one another, they do eventually reunite, and their relationship remains complicated, but loving.

HER FEAR OF BIRDS

Being a ghoul may seem to imply that you have complete control over your life. Touka, on the other hand, has one very serious fear. It has nothing to do with lust, ghoul inquiries, or something even remotely human.

It’s a genuine phobia of birds. Touka was supposed to look after one as a child, but it attacked her instead, effectively causing her to develop a strong dislike for birds.

POWERS

Touka is a very powerful ghoul, and as a result, she has a wide range of abilities. She develops a wide range of talents during her childhood and adolescence, in addition to superhuman speed and endurance.

Her kagune (which is a ghoul’s predatory organ) is engulfed in a lightning-like aura. As a result, she is able to produce energy, which she can put to good use. Touka can also harden and de-harden her wing, demonstrating that it is simple for her to control.

PERSONALITY

Touka is one of the most popular characters in the series since, for a long time, she assumed the identity of the tough know-it-all that fans of anime shows adore. She is always reckless, but she is also a hard worker.

She is as natural as a person can be. She is cruel and destructive as a ghoul, and she has no qualms about killing ghoul investigators. As the series progresses, she becomes even more gentle, even smiling. With people she cares about, though, she is quick to revert to her old ways.

RABBIT

Rabbit is Touka’s alias, and he uses it for both metaphorical and physical purposes. On the outside, she is supposed to appear cute and natural, like a rabbit, something that people aren’t afraid of. It’s ideal, given how dangerous she is.

However, as she assumes her ghoul shape, the nickname is physically closer to her. She dons a long scarf, a wig, and a rabbit mask as she transforms into a ghoul. As a result, it basically gives her the ideal moniker.

HER RELATIONSHIP WITH KANEKI

Touka and Kaneki don’t have a pleasant relationship at first; in fact, she despises him. She didn’t want to feel sorry for someone who was half-human. As a result, she had no qualms about following him around and scolding him when he did something wrong.

Of course, as with any big girl/guy novel, the two of them will fall in love with each other. The whole hate-to-heart plot is a staple of any decent love story, and this one was no exception. She finally assists him in acclimating to his new life as a ghoul. They develop feelings for each other and ultimately marry.

THE UKAKU KAGUNE

Touka’s kagnue belongs to the ukaku kagune family and is well-known for its presence. It detaches itself from their shoulders and assumes the appearance of features. This form of kagune is known for their quick attacks but lack of stamina.

They excel at long-range combat rather than close combat, which is one of their weaknesses. Their kagune can also be used as a shield, which is useful if they ever find themselves in close combat. They have a proclivity for ending fights quickly, owing to the fact that they must do so before their strength runs out.

THE INCOMPLETE KAGUNE

While strong, Touka’s kagune is actually incomplete, which may surprise some fans. Touka is to blame for everything that has happened. She made the mistake of releasing her Kagnue when she was young.

Ghouls are not allowed to release their Kagnue while they’re young because they can’t adequately handle it or retain the strength that the kagune possesses. Although it might not seem to be a wise decision, it was truly a selfless act. Her brother was about to be kidnapped and torn apart by ghoul investigators, so she used her kagune to shield him.

WEAKNESS

Touka isn’t a bad character by any stretch of the imagination, but that doesn’t mean she doesn’t have flaws. Her stamina leaves much to be desired, despite her superhuman speed and endurance. She becomes weaker the more she battles. That isn’t to say she won’t fight to the bitter end. She’s a stubborn and strong-willed woman who would rather fight until she ran out of endurance than give in.

Furthermore, a lack of stamina is something that runs in her family! When Amon, a member of the CCG, talked to Touka about the ukaku kagune ghouls, he confirmed this.
